The US state of Michigan’s Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, was finishing up decorating her home with her four-year-old son when dozens of ‘armed protesters’ appeared outside.
They chanted ‘stop the steal’ into bullhorns ‘in the dark of night’, before police were called and the crowd dispersed.
The protesters echoed claims by US President Donald Trump that the November 3 election was ‘stolen’ by alleged voter fraud.
The critical state of Michigan returned presidential poll results last month in favour of Democrat Joe Biden, earning him 16 electoral votes and securing his path to the White House.
