Marines Conduct SPIE Drills

March 19, 2021 – U.S Marines with Force Reconnaissance Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force, practice special patrol insertion and extraction (SPIE) rigging drills at Landing Zone 1, Jungle Warfare Training Center. SPIE rigging and rappelling techniques are used to rapidly insert and extract Marines when a landing zone is unavailable.
