Naval Submarine Base New London, Naval Submarine Support Facility host fire response exercise with regional responders
GROTON, CT, UNITED STATES
GROTON, Connecticut – Naval Submarine Base New London (SUBASE NLON) and Naval Submarine Support Facility (NSSF) hosted more than a dozen regional fire and rescue organizations Wednesday, Nov. 10, for a large-scale fire response exercise at the Groton, Connecticut, Navy base.
The exercise was intended to provide civilian firefighters and emergency responders with an orientation of the base, as well as experience working alongside Navy responders, to share best practices and gain familiarity with each other outside of the context of a real emergency.
