The Dark History of Coast Guard Headquarters
WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES
The Douglas A. Munro Coast Guard Headquarters Building was built on the west campus of the historic St. Elizabeths Hospital. St. Elizabeths Hospital opened in 1855 and was initially named the Government Hospital for the Insane. This video was produced in cooperation with the St. Elizabeths West Campus Field Office.
